Rules and FAQ
One pick a week. Win and you’re through. Draw, lose or miss the deadline and you’re out. Here’s the detail.
How do I stay in?
Each gameweek, pick one team to win its match. If they win, you're through to the next gameweek. If they draw or lose, you're out.
Can I pick the same team twice?
No. Each team can be used once per competition. If you ever use all 20, your list resets and every team is available again.
What if I forget to pick?
You're out, marked DNP (did not pick). DNPs are shown separately from losses so everyone can see what happened.
What if everyone loses in the same week?
If every player who made a pick goes out in the same gameweek, nobody who picked is eliminated and you all carry on. Anyone who didn't pick is still out. If nobody picked at all, everyone carries on.
When is the deadline?
By default, all picks lock when the first match of the gameweek kicks off. Some competitions lock each pick at its own match's kick-off instead; your competition page shows which. You can change your pick as often as you like until it locks.
Can other players see my pick?
Not until it locks. Nobody, including the organiser, can see your pick before the deadline. Once picks lock, everyone in the competition sees them.
What if my team's match is postponed?
By default your pick is void: you survive the week, and the team counts as used. Organisers can choose a different policy when they set up the competition, and can rule on individual matches with a recorded reason.
What if a team doesn't play that gameweek?
You can only pick teams with a fixture in the gameweek. If none of your unused teams are playing, you can pick any team that is, and it won't count as used.
What if a team plays twice in a gameweek?
Only their first match of the gameweek counts.
How does it end?
When exactly one player is left after a gameweek, they win. If the season runs out with more than one player still in, they're joint winners.
How do entry fees work?
Organisers can record an entry fee and mark who has paid. Holdout never takes, holds or pays out money. You sort that out between yourselves.
